MCYR High School Program

Picture
Manatee County Youth Rowing for High School students is a competitive sports program that focuses on developing an individual through teamwork, leadership, athletic conditioning, good nutrition, and community service.  The program runs throughout the school year.  During the summer, additional camps and training programs are available.  No rowing experience is required.
In the fall, athletes row under the combined team Manatee County Youth Rowing.  In the spring, athletes compete for their local high schools or the combined team.  Team members are currently attending Palmetto High School, Braden River High School, Southeast High School, Manatee High School, Lakewood Ranch High School, and Parrish Community High School.
Rowing families are an integral part of the program’s success.  We expect each family to volunteer at regattas and fundraising events in both the fall and spring seasons.
