MCYR Middle School Program

Picture
Manatee County Youth Rowing for Middle School students is for anyone interested in learning more about rowing.  You will be part of a team and focus on learning the best techniques for rowing both on land and in the water.  The Middle School program is less intense than the High School program but the focus is on developing the individual through teamwork, leadership, athletic conditioning, good nutrition, and community service.  The Middle School Program is open to any middle school student who is in the 6th, 7th ,8th grade.

The Middle School program rows under the combined team Manatee County Youth Rowing.
Rowing families are an integral part of the program’s success.  We expect each family to volunteer at regattas and fundraising events in both the fall and spring seasons.
